OUR EXECUTIVE

Welcome to the Rotaract Club of Barrie Page!
I have been a part of the Rotaract Club of Barrie since January 2016. As a new           resident to the Barrie Community, I joined  with the intent to network and make a few friends and let me tell you that quickly grew to a countless number of friends and relationships throughout the club, Rotary organization and community. I came for the fellowship and stayed because I quickly fell in love with what the organization was all about, "Service above Self". I initially started my Rotaract Journey assisting with our Community Service and International Committee which planned and organized all of the clubs community events, this was by far the best way to dive right in. Following my initial year of being heavily involved with the Community Service Committee I took on a leadership position as Treasurer and now lead the club as President, which is the most rewarding of them all. As the president I am responsible for leading a group of approximately 30-40 volunteers, supporting our club members and initiatives and the overall strategic vision and direction of the club. Our club is one the largest in our district and is a part of many local community fundraisers and events. Our club has helped support over 20 different organizations such as Season's Centre for grieving Children, Youth Haven, The Women's and Children Centre, OSPCA and the Rotary Cambodia School just to name a few. My goal for the club this year is to “break the barriers” and create more public awareness about who we are and what great things we are accomplishing within our local community.

I hope to see you out at one of our events or meeting soon! Don't be shy - if you have questions feel free to contact us.

Parker
Vice-President

I have been a Rotaract member for years. After joining I decided to join the new membership committee for a term. My role as head of new members was to help membership grow and help those new members find their passions within the club. After my passion in new members I decided being more involved with the clubs leadership was where my passion lied. I currently acts as Vice President and enjoy being involved in all aspects of the club. I joined the club in hopes to meet new friends, while giving back to our wonderful community.

Alexandra
Secretary

I have been a Rotaract Member since March 2016. I enjoyed my time planning fun social events while on the social committee prior to becoming our club’s Secretary. As secretary, I record our meeting minutes, plan our agendas, and keep our contact information and calendar up to date! I joined the club with the hopes of reconnecting with the Barrie community after being away for many years. I love that Rotaract gives back to the community while also providing me with a some wonderful friendships!

Carly Schofield has been a part of the Barrie Rotaract club since May 2016. She enjoyed volunteering at the various Rotaract events prior to becoming our club’s Treasurer in 2018. As treasurer, Carly is responsible for invoicing and collecting membership dues, keeping financial records of the events run by the club as well as disbursing funds raised to our chosen local organizations!

Carly joined the club to become more connected in the Barrie community while also meeting new like-minded people after moving back to Barrie. She is passionate about community service and finds it rewarding to see the benefits our club can provide to our local community.
